Check out this new release from  the amazing legacy of SNAKEFINGER:

A TEACHING LESSON IN BLUES

Most people know Philip Charles Lithman (b. 1949 – d. 1987) under his stage name Snakefinger, may it be from some Residents albums or from his solo recordings. In 1983 Snakefinger went on tour with an eight-piece-band to present his History of the Blues. Luckily some of the European shows were recorded back then – and luckily promising music could get hold of the original tapes.

SNAKEFINGER's HISTORY OF THE BLUES - LIVE IN EUROPE

This project had been released on vinyl in 1984, but, due to the time limitations, featured only 11 tracks.
Our CD lists a total of 20 tracks, leading to a playing time of more than 70 minutes.

The 36-page-booklet presents a hand-written text by Snakefinger plus further retrospective insights from band members
Joshua Raoul Brody and Steve Mackay (written while on the road with Iggy & the Stooges)-
New liner notes are written by Eugene Chadbourne.
