2. Over the last decade I have been involved in three recording sessions in Austin collaborating with a slowly expanding cadre of musicians.
3. I began this series on my own but eventually was happy to have funding from Lou Kannenstine and Boxholder Records, who released the second volume in the Texas Session series as well as a duo with Susan Alcorn on pedal steel.
4. With the third volume in the can and mastered, Kannestine and his label seems to have stopped functioning
and I have failed in attempts to contact him.
5. The Texasock is a two CD collection of my favorite tracks from all these sessions. Players featured are Walter Daniels, harmonica/Susan Alcorn, pedal steel/ Ernie Durawa, drums/Earl Poole Ball, piano/David Dove, trombone/
Speedy Sparks, bass/Redd Volkaert, guitars
6. The songs are a collection of originals plus covers from Willie Nelson, Ernest Tubb, Malvina Reynolds, Doug Sahm and others.
